Holga 120n and Ricoh KR-5 Super

Yeah, okay, second post for the day. The thing I wanted to tell you people that I'm super excited about, is that Lauren's friend Hunter's dad is a big photographer and he has like a ton of cameras, some are super new, but most are super vintage. He let me borrow his Holga 120n and his Ricoh KR-5 Super. At first I wasn't too excited for the Ricoh, because I'd never heard of one or seen one, so I didn't really know what to expect, so therefore I wasn't that excited. But I'd been looking at Holgas, and I was thinking about getting one, so I was super excited for that to see how I liked it. He gave them to me yesterday, and just now I've figured out how to use them. Yes, it took me quite a while to figure out the vintage camera, but after help from Google and the orginial manuals, I think I got the hang of it. The Holga is kind of confusing, and I don't like how when you take a picture you don't really know if you took the picture because you have to change the number by yourself. If that makes sense. I'm sure I'll just have to get the hang of it, but I'm still not completely stoked about it. As for the Ricoh... I'm pretty freaking positive that I've fallen in love with it. It looks so vintage-esque, but the focusing is like a new SLR. It's so easy, and even though the guy who's letting me borrow it, his nephew scratched off some of the arrows (because he thought it would ruin the camera so he wouldn't have to have his picture taken, haha, I nearly died laughing when I heard this), the Ricoh still works like an absolute CHARM. The focusing and zooming is like insanely easy, almost easier than my Nikon. And when I use up all the film, I'll get it devolped to see how much I actually like the camera. Because even though I adore it now, if I don't like the pictures, there isn't really a point in buying one for myself. The film takes up to 36 pictures, so it'll probably be used up pretty quickly. So the Ricoh KR-5 Super I am thoroughly enjoyed with so far, and the Holga 120n will need some getting used to but I'm sure I'll like it just fine when it comes down to it.

Ice fascinates me. So much that I draw it sometimes. Well, draw it shooting out of guns. I'll have to show you guys those sketches sometime. So yeah, some of these pictures are from Saturday. The ice ones are. The ones I said I would post that came from the Canon. So...yeah. Sorry for the over abundance of ice pictures. I'm listening to the song Ice by LIGHTS too. Go check it outttt, bro. Brotha, brothers, brethren. 100 points to someone who knows what that's from. Oooooh yeah.
Reminds me of a little man that was turned to ice.

And these ones are others. Not sure what's all in here until I upload them. Scars, kitties, cameras. I think? Maybe more.

Yes, here're the kitty pictures. Victorian chairs and lace.

Anddd the excitedness news that I have to tell you is here. But I'm waiting until I have pictures to reveal. So. Deal with it.

Shoes & Necklaces

Lauren's pictures from yesterday.

Shoes. Vintage styled necklaces. That there necklace is miiiiiine. I want to redo it, like take the little charms off and do something else with them because I don't really like the way they look, but I love them by themselves. So I just gotta figure out a way to switch it all around. :)

Ravens

Saturday's pictures. They're taking forever to edit. And these ones are just from my Nikon, there's more from my Canon. Anyway, me and Tanner went on a walk at the beach. It was pretty freaking freezing, but very fun. There was a dead deer on the ice, so there's pictures of that. Only took pictures of it because the raven eating it was cool. They're really not that graphic. The ones in the beginning are from either Tuesday or Wednesday. Yes, I'm behind.

Yeah, there's more from Saturday from the Canon, like I said. Buuuut idk when I'll get around to posting them. Hopefully tomorrow. And I have good news about cameras. Maybe I'll tease you all and not tell you until it happends. Mwuahahaha.

P.S. I forgot to add that some of the pictures in the middle were taken by Tanner :)
