"Only As Valuable As the Next Man In Line."

Levi the Poet - Kaleidoscope

I'm telling you guys. I saw this dude at the concert festival I went to. I'd never even heard of him before. He's... absolutely. Amazing. I so wish I would've taken pictures because his face was just so overcome with emotions, but honestly, I was so transfixed with his words that I didn't even realize I had the camera in my hands.

Finds Life in Death and Fears No Evil

Big family day at the beach. First is adorable little Bailey. Second is her older brother Corbin, that picture makes me laugh and laugh. He is so freaking adorable. I said "Hey Corbin look at the camera!" And he gives me this humungous smile and goes "Cheese!" Aaaaa-dorable. Last, me at the beach doing my natural thing. Sketching. Didn't take that picture, btw. Other two I did.

I'm starting to think I majorly scared people away with my rant about Charles Xavier. I feel like I totally got sent back to the little kid's table because you all found out I'm a huge comic book geek in every single way. Well, I guess it was bound to happen sometime. What I'm trying to say:
COMMENT. -Or else I don't know you're out there.-
Anyway, I'm here to tell you I'm going to an all weekend concert starting tomorrow. And I shall not be back till Sunday. And I'll probably spend Sunday sleeping all day. So, I'm not dead, I'll be back, and please remind me all that everyone's still living out there. Or else I'll be forced to think there was an internet apocalypse.

Life in Shackles

So I just got back from the gallery. Everyone was really nice (at least the people that paid attention to the blue haired girl in the corner standing next to a portfolio and elaborate sketches.) There was a really nice girl in like her 20's that I didn't know, but she was really nice and she was talking to me alot about how important the portfolio was and stuff, and her mom came back various times with various people to show them. Which I appreciated. And then there were two grandma-aged ladies who were especially nice to me, and one of them actually considered buying one of my works but in the end didn't. But I got a lot of compliments and encouragments from them. And all day I heard "I hope it works for you," which probably meant a lot more to me than it did to them. And in the end, I sold one of my sketches. To my uncle, but I still sold one no less. And I got Roast and Toast. Which is always a plus. So I just thought I'd tell you all how it worked out before I head off for a midnight snack of hummus :)

Fish

Hey peeps, this picture was originally here, because Lauren took it. But it was me and I liked it, so I'm putting it on my blog as well. :)

So I'm working on my bio for tomorrow and... I never thought it'd be so hard to describe myself.

.... I can't feel my legs.

My life is demanding.

I'm sorry I look so hideous. It was camping with no showers, alright? Jack's Lake was amazing though.

Starting from far left, my cousin Brooke, me, beautiful blue eyed cousin Casie, Lauren, and Kati.

Tucker Island. All these names you're hearing, we made up. Jack's Channel, Jack's Lake, Tucker Island, Musquito Falls, and so on.

Our little row boat I came to love so dearly.

I've always wanted to cliff dive, and unexpectedly I got the chance to. Me and beautiful blue eyed cousin Casie jumped together.

Small part of Musquito Falls.

As you might've been able to tell, camping was like, the most fun I've had in a long time. Like not like oh that was fun, but like serious fun where the whole time you were content. My cousin Kati's boyfriend from Britain came with us, and I found out that British people like Felix (that's his name) call a wind shield a wind screen, and the trunk of a car is called a boot. Us girls that you saw in that row boat went out on the lake every day, and today I come to you as tan as the chair I'm sitting in. Which is pretty tan. And indeed, I did get very many sketches done. I'll have to show you sometime.
Last Thursday I took my matted sketches to the gallery, and currently I'm working on my bio to set up with them for this Thursday. I almost laughed, because the gallery owner, Amanda, asked me to name my works. I just found that funny. Maybe because that almost makes me sound like I'm a pro? I dunno. I almost feel like I am. Or might be. I put three in the gallery. One called "Peter Pan's Treasure Shelf." Another called "Mending." And the last I named "Melancholy."
Also, I'm currently obsessed with the show Teen Wolf. It's a remake of the old 80's one, and it's on MTV on Monday nights. And so far there's only been three episodes. And it irritates me, because usually I only get into television shows when they're like seasons ahead, so I watch as many as I want on websites. So when I actually have to wait each week to see what happeneds next, I kinda freak. And I like Derek. He's all like, Noooo it's nooootttt meeeeee. And Scott's all like, angry you bit me angst! Oh my gosh, and Scott's friend Stiles (sp?), is absolutely hilarious! "Why am I always Robin, that's so dumb! Why can't I be Batman... Fine. I'll go to the car." It's so funny, he's awesome. And my favorite parts are when Scott turns into the werewolf. I think it's cool that he doesn't only just turn when it's the full moon, but whenever he has a rush of high emotion. Yeah, I totally can't wait for the next episode.
AND AND AND AND AND AND ANDDDDDD. OH MY GOSH. HOW DID I NOT WRITE THIS FIRST?!?!?!? I WENT AND SAW X-MEN FIRST CLASS! OH MYYYY GOSHHHHH. Go watch it. It's one of those few movies that are totally and completely worth the five fifty. Oh myyyy goshhhhh. It's sooooooooooo good. The guy who plays Charles Xavier is like, now my favorite. He's also the same dude that plays Tumnus on The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe. He's soooooo good. And in the first X-Men, I always thought Professor X was a priss, and that Magneto was an evil freak. (Pun totally not intended.) But this movie totally dived into what they truly were. Xavier just wanted the world to cooperate, and Magneto just wanted to be treated like everyone else. They both just wanted to be accepted, and even in the end of the first X-Men, Charles and Erik were always just like brothers. It's a totally eye opening movie, if you're a comic book geek like I am. And it also explains how and why and when and where Charles Xavier is in a wheelchair. Oh my gosh guys. I almost cried. I'm not even kidding. Even just thinking about it makes my chest all tight. Oh my gosh guys. It was so sad. So sad. And then he says, "I can't feel my legs." And it's just sooo heartbreaking. Because he's so young and he had just gotten out of school to be a professor, and here he is saying "I can't feel my legs." Oh my gosh. So intense. I just wanna cry.
Lauren is totally going to make fun of me for that whole speel, but it's so completely true.
Ahhhhh now writing that has me thinking about it again! THE LOOK ON XAVIER'S FACE, PEOPLE! I just wanna break down sobbing hysterically. It was heart breaking. :(
Sorry for the total rant and picture overload, I just haven't said anything a long while. So it was a good come back post for you people, I suppose.
OH MY GOSH, XAVIER'S FACE! You guys have no idea how much I wanna cry right now.

And Like An Introvert, I Drew My Overshirt Around My Arms

http://www.carlkingcreative.com/10-myths-about-introverts

I think I'm an introvert.

Oceanic Vistas

Hey, peeps, just here to tell you all I'm not dead. I know I said I'd have pictures about yesterday, but gosh dangit I'm so tired. I haven't even uploaded the pictures onto my computer yet. But I did get alot of good ones, so they will be coming later. I just got back from the citayy, where I matted my sketches that I'm putting in the gallery. They look pretty sharp, I'm totally excited. I also got manila paper! I've used textured paper before, but it wasn't manila, and I've never used manila except for like seriously old manila paper that I didn't even realize was that at the time. So I'm excited about using that, I think I'll try to draw something steampunk on it. And currently my cat is licking my chin because I just had ice cream and I'm all sticky. So of course she wants her bit of ice cream too. She loves any human food. Especially soup and BBQ chips. The latter is only because as soon as we got her I fed her really spicy BBQ chips and ever since she won't settle for anything less. The camping trip was amazing, I wanna go back right now, and while there I figured out how to sketch landscapes! They're pretty rad and I'm sending one of them to my aunt. Also, my new favorite song is this. So you should go listen to that song because it's rad. Andddd now my cat is trying to eat my feet, so I will talk to you all later!

Edit: sorry if that link didn't work out for you guys! I just put a new one in, so go check it out fer realz!

Wiol Ono

I'm here to give you pretty pictures of apple blossoms and my wonderful shadow skills.

And I shall not be posting until about Tuesday, because I will be camping. Lots of eye candy, pretty pictures! Because I've been told the place we're camping is beautiful. So maybe a list of other blogs to look up since I won't be here?
and maybe go to burdge-bug.deviantart.com as well?
And guys, I forgot how much I like Christopher Paolini's writing. I'm re-reading Eldest currently, and I think I'll come back from this camping trip with a lot of sketches of Eragon and the other characters. Arya is kick-butt! And I think I'm also going to bring Lord of the Rings: Return of the King book to this camping trip as well, because I've been thinking about J.R.R. Tolkien a lot. So I will return to you all within the next week with hopefully good sketches and amazing pictures!
Good day and farewell readers! Se onr sverdar sitja hvass! (Oh gimme a break, I'm reading Eragon. .... Oh good gosh, look it up!)
