It's the Crazy Ones that Know the Truth

Yesterday was awesome because it was Harry Potter Day! Me and Lauren and Casie, Bradford, Tanner, and Hunter all went to the midnight premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2! These pictures are of our grand adventures leading up to the grand movie we were so excited to see.

I drew a "tattoo" on Lauren's shoulder for the premiere.
The permission slip my mom had to write so Lauren could drive us home after the premiere.
Such a beautiful day for Harry Potter! And not a dementor in sight. Is what Lauren said.
In the bank parking lot getting money for Harry Potter! Such an excited girl!
Someone texted me and asked what I was doing. I had to respond as such!
Lauren's Gryffindor nails and her Gryffindor version Pandora bracelet! The middle bead is a lion.
Waiting in line for tickets! Yesssss!

It will never end.
YES.
Yes. I am a nerd and I took pictures of my ticket. Multiple times. I am also planning on framing it.
Before the premiere we wandered around the city the premiere was in. Casie had to babysit her brother, the biggest boy at the end, and the two other little boys. The girl is my sister Rebekah. The two little boys are brothers, Chris and Nick. Cutest. Kids. Ever. We got ice cream and pizza with them.

Ticket that I will keep forever.
Six brand new fresh tickets for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2.
"Are you excited?" I was all like "Am I excited?... HECK YEAH I'M EXCITED!"
Enchanted Knights is a store in the city the premiere was at. There's this knight standing by the doorway and when we looked yesterday they had him all decked out for the premiere!

We went past the theater three hours later and it was already sold out!
Me and beautiful blue eyed cousin Casie made Deathly Hallows t-shirts!
And my Hedwig owl necklace!
At the movie theaters at midnight :)
Oooookayyyy. So basically yesterday was completely awesome. But WARNING: SPOILERS IF YOU HAVEN'T READ NOR SEEN THE DEATHLY HALLOWS PART 2.
The Deathly Hallows part 2 was totally bittersweet for me. I mean, I know I've only been into Harry Potter for not even a year. But it seems so much longer than that. Well, quite literally, a whole lifetime. Harry's lifetime. I never really realized how much Harry grew up. I read those books so fast. But when I watched the last movie, I was just shocked at how he wasn't the same little boy he was before. But in a different way, I saw the same little boy and then the person he grew up to be.
Let's see, the parts I cried at. I'm not going to lie. I cried multiple times. I cried when the Death Eaters were destroying Hogwarts castle. I almost cried at Draco's indecision. That was really heartbreaking to me. I bawled my eyes out like a little baby when Harry took the Resurrection Stone and he saw his parents and Remus and Sirius. Especially Sirius. I really missed Sirius in the end. And then I just wanted to bawl my eyes out after they destroyed the diadem and Harry curled up in a corner and his teeth were chattering because he was in pain. And then Ron knelt next to him and I realized just how brave Ron was. I cried like a little girl when I saw Fred and Tonks and Remus laying on the floor dead. Especially because Remus and Tonks were holding hands. I just wanted to die then. Even when Snape died, I cried a little bit.
The justified moments? When Ron and Hermione finally kissed. When Bellatrix fell to the floor dead. When the Malfoys ran away. When Neville killed the snake. When you realized the full bravery of not just Harry. That it was absolutely everyone who was brave and courageous. Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny, Fred and George, LUNA, NEVILLE, Molly, McGonagall, Hagrid, Draco. Everyone.
My only disappoint was that when Harry was pretending to be dead, no one really did anything. Ginny screamed and made a good show, but then she just stood there. In my head when I read the book, I imagined Hagrid was bawling, McGonagall was screaming, Ron was in shock and was supporting Hermione who was trying so hard not to cry, Ginny was on the ground crying so hard she could barely see, Molly and Arthur Weasley were holding each other and crying like it was there son, and everyone else was in shock or crying their eyes out. And the only one who was still crying but brave enough to defy Voldemort was Neville. And unfortunately, none of that happened in the movie.
But the action scenes were amazing, and the sad ones were heartbreaking and touching. The end theme song was just...good :) But it was bittersweet. And I want to go see it again. So I advise you get your butt to the movie theater and see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2.
And I also realized that no matter how many people don't like Harry Potter, it doesn't change the fact that it's changed so many lives. I learned so much from those books. And I've met so many people because of those books that otherwise I would've just passed in the street.
Now about my awesome Harry Potter fan outfit! Wore my sailor shorts from Rue 21. Made the T-shirt with Casie. The front says "the boy who lived. it will never end." with the Deathly Hallows symbol. And the back has a list of characters (although not all of them) and has a heart with J.K. Rowling's name. And my awesome Hedwig owl necklace. I also put red and yellow in my hair for Gryffindor! I wanted to do Slytherin colors, but green never looks too good in my hair. So YEAH. Go to theaters and go see Harry Potter! Because everything about it is love.
